The payroll coordinator will handle payroll documentation, calculation processing and analytical reporting for multiple union and non-union sites. This candidate will conduct bi-weekly and accurate reconciliation of payroll, benefits and other GL Accounts as well as being a key resource to others for report analysis and understanding of our scheduling/employee information software program.

About this Full Time Role

What you’ll do:

  • Act as an effective liaison between site administration and corporate Payroll and Human Resources teams
  • Weekly payroll processing for 3-4 assigned high volume locations for salaried, hourly and unionized employees
  • Posting employee new hire, status changes, leaves, termination documents
  • Creating, processing and analyzing of payroll financial information via Excel
  • Financial Accounting reviews, journal entries, reconciliations and analysis using AccPac
  • Web Based Record of Employment & Year End T4s and reconciliation
  • Time & attendance processing using Kronos scheduling system

What you’ll need:

  • Minimum 3 years hands-on full cycle multi-site or Canadian multi-jurisdictional payroll processing & reconciliation experience (within unionized environment preferred)
  • Strong Intermediate Level Microsoft Excel (knowledge of Pivot Tables an asset)
  • Good working knowledge of Ceridian payroll system or other similar systems
  • Broad payroll experience and solid understanding of full cycle payroll practices
  • Understanding of basic bookkeeping and general ledgers
