Resident Care Manager is responsible for the management of resident care services under the direction of the Director of Care.
Assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of resident care will comply with current applicable provincial standards, guidelines and regulations to ensure that the highest standard of resident care is delivered and maintained at all times.
They promote teamwork and team spirit and encourages practices that respect resident, family and staff rights, individuality and diversity. The Resident Care Manager effectively supervises, supports, and provides regular feedback to Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Health Care Aides (HCAs).
Must have or be eligible for CARNA Registration. Experience in geriatrics, caring for clients with Dementia and interRAI assessment experience an asset.
Resident Care Manager Qualifications:
3 years of management / leadership experience
Demonstrated ability to appropriately and effectively motivate individuals and teams
Demonstrated innovation and problem solving skills
Ability to discretely handle sensitive situations with empathy and tact
Working knowledge of computers (Word, Excel and Outlook)
Ability to adapt easily to change and to multi-task
Must possess excellent communication and organizational skills
