We find people worry about what their life will be like, if they moved to a retirement community.
Let's hear from our friend Marion Churchill in Calgary - she would like to share her journey with you!
I think we can all relate to this and understand that it doesn't matter where you live or who you are - we all feel the same way about things.
Loneliness and grief after losing my husband, after nearly 60 years of marriage, prompted me to make a move. I have a caring, but working family, so the days were long.
So I came to the Beverly Estate, mainly to have other people around me and make new friends, and after almost 3 1/2 years I have never regretted that decision.
I am healthy and content in my studio suite, with my own personal things around me. I take advantage of the daily activities which are well organized and being able to get out ...on the bus is another added bonus.
Now I pride myself on being able to put a name to almost everyone as I sit in the dining room, although we get many changes.
My health is still good, but if, or when I need extra help, it will be there!
