On December 20, 2011 the Alberta Government along with our key partners marked the occasion of the expansion of Sagewood Seniors Community and Walden Heights Community.

AgeCare was successful in our grant proposal within the Alberta Supportive Living Initiative program. This program was created to encouratge the development of new supportive living spaces in the provide to address the changing needs of seniors accommodations and services.

AgeCare will create:

Phase 2 Sagewood Seniors Community: 70 Supportive Living (SL4) Units

               Strathmore                                30 Long Term Care Units

Phase 2 Walden Heights Seniors Community: 70 Supportive Living (SL4) Units.

Welcome to Sagewood Seniors Community!

Our supportive living and independent affordable living seniors community is now open! Our community opened on October 31, 2011.

The 60 Supportive Living and 42 Independent Living Apartments has a LEED certification which is the first of its kind in Alberta. LEED stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design - which is a Green Building Rating. This promotes a healthy whole building approach by recognizing performance in key areas of human and environmental health.
