AgeCare has been designing and building innovative seniors care communities for over a decade. AgeCare latest development is Sagewood Seniors Community, a unique ‘Aging in Place’ development that will provide safe and affordable housing for seniors of Strathmore with extensive amenities and services.

This elegant 3 storey residence on Cambridge Glen has a Supportive Living wing and an Independent Affordable Housing wing attached to a welcoming central amenities area.

Phase 1 is now open and offers housing for the active seniors as well as seniors who need personal care and support in activities of daily living.

Phase 1 is comprised of our Supportive Living wing and our Independent Affordable Housing wing call Sagewood Estate.

• Supportive Living has 60 studio suites; each has a kitchenette with a sink, fridge and a microwave, as well as en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower, grab bars and emergency call system.  The 60 Supportive Living (SL4) clients will have 24-hours on site staff to provide personal care as well as hospitality services such as meals, housekeeping and laundry. Recreation and social activities will be important programs that will keep the residents meaningfully engaged.
• Independent Affordable Living has 42 one and two bedroom self contained apartments. The Independent Affordable Living Community is designed to provide housing for persons who have an income of less than $33,500 - $38,000 per year.
• The central amenities area has a ‘Main Street’ look and has a number of amenities including a kitchen, dining rooms, activity room, fireside lounge, multi-purpose room, a tuck shop, a cafe with internet access and a wellness centre that will have spa tub rooms, exercise room and a hair salon. The grounds will be professionally landscaped with a beautiful courtyard and walking trail.

Phase 2 has been announced as of December 20, 2011. 

Through the Alberta Supportive Living Initiative, AgeCare will expand our current site to accommodate newly awarded spaces for local seniors.

Starting in early Spring of 2012, we will begin construction on our new addition:

70 Additional Supportive Living (SL4) Spaces

30 New Long Term Care Spaces.
