Personal Care

 

 

 

The care offered within a Supportive Living (4) and Supportive Living (4) Dementia environment is based on your needs and assessment by Alberta Health Services.

Residents may receive some of the following care support services:

• Assistance with personal grooming
• Bathing assistance
• Meal escort
• Medication management
• Assistance with dressing both for days and night time

Additional supports are delivered based on assessment, such as rehabilitation and other professional services. These services are provided on an individual basis through an assessment process.

Our program is intended to support independence and to allow for personal choice for our residents at our community.  We encourage and promote a model where our residents continue to care for themselves for as long as possible, within a dignified and respectful environment.

Health care services are delivered by Health Care Aides (HCAs), with professional 24 hour supervision by Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs). The entire team is supported by the Walden Heights Director of Care (Registered Nurse) and the AHS Registered Nurses, Case Managers.
