The temporary Assistant Accountant will support the Financial Controller in preparing monthly, quarterly and annual Financial Statement packages for a range of legal entities.

About this temporary full time position:

What you’ll do:

Maintain, review and complete all general ledger reconciliations for various operating companies; investigating and resolving any discrepancies
Prepare and maintain working paper schedules and assist with audit inquiries
Preparation of periodic Financial Statements and other management reports
Assist in implementing new initiatives, including process and efficiency improvements
Support other accounting staff as needed

What you’ll need:

CPA Designation (or working towards)
Post-secondary education in a recognized accounting/business program
Experience in the Healthcare industry preferred
Experience with ERP Systems; Workday software is preferred
Strong MS Office skills; including advanced Excel
Minimum 5 years of experience with full-cycle accounting and financial statement preparation
Must be fluent in English, both orally and in writing
