The Opportunity:

The temporary Assistant Accountant will support the Financial Controller in preparing monthly, quarterly and annual Financial Statement packages for a range of legal entities.

About this temporary full time position:

What you’ll do:

  • Maintain, review and complete all general ledger reconciliations for various operating companies; investigating and resolving any discrepancies
  • Prepare and maintain working paper schedules and assist with audit inquiries
  • Preparation of periodic Financial Statements and other management reports
  • Assist in implementing new initiatives, including process and efficiency improvements
  • Support other accounting staff as needed

What you’ll need:

  • CPA Designation (or working towards)
  • Post-secondary education in a recognized accounting/business program
  • Experience in the Healthcare industry preferred
  • Experience with ERP Systems; Workday software is preferred
  • Strong MS Office skills; including advanced Excel
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with full-cycle accounting and financial statement preparation
  • Must be fluent in English, both orally and in writing
