About this Full Time Position

What you’ll do:

  • Help residents enjoy life by supervising, training and coordinating the Cooks and Cook Assistants, in this seniors facility
  • Guide, mentor and inspire the Kitchen staff to be their best, personally and professionally
  • Role model proper cooking, food prep and safe food handling procedures by training and working along side the Kitchen staff
  • Responsible for inventory control and assists with ordering and menu adapations

What you’ll need:

  • Must be a Red Seal Chef, ideally with experience preparing pureed and texture modified food
  • Must have 3+ years experience in a leadership role, ideally within the continuing care or seniors health sector
  • Previous experience in training Kitchen staff, inventory control and ordering is required
  • Excellent English language skills both orally and in writing, as well as the ability to manage conflict
  • High energy, team player; promotes a positive work environment built on trust and respect
