About this position:

What you’ll do:

  • Provide rehabilitative and physical therapies for residents to enhance independence and mobility and enhance quality of life
  • Provide in-service education for residents, families and employees on the benefits of physiotherapy
  • Conduct physical assessments and formulates physical therapy treatment plans that form part of the Resident Care Plan
  • Ensures continuous compliance with all licensing and regulatory requirements

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelors degree in Physiotherapy and 2 years experience working with seniors in a sub-acute or long-term care setting
  • Thorough knowledge of disease processes resulting from the aging process
  • Ability to effectively teach seniors, cognitively impaired adults, families and members of the interdisciplinary team
  • Ability to work independently in the development of physical therapy treatment plans
