The Opportunity:

Reporting to the Office Manager, the receptionist / screener is responsible for providing warm, professional and approachable receptionist services, screening of staff and visitors, and accurate and efficient documentation and computer data entry on an ongoing basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the reception area for a large long term care facility

  • Ask visitors and staff members screening questions for COVID
    • Handle the switchboard, greet public, book tours and schedule meeting rooms
    • Provide administrative support to the ​ Office Manager and the extended management team
    • Responsible for incoming and outgoing mail and dealing with deliveries
    • Answer questions from residents and visitors with a high degree of professionalism and cheerfulness
    • Assist in billings and trust account administrationQualifications:• Minimum of 2 years’ experience dealing with the public face to face
    • Strong Microsoft Office skills with an emphasis on Word and Excel
    • Strong book keeping acumen, previous book keeping experience preferred
    • Excellent understanding of confidentiality and professionalism as it relates to health care
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    • Ability to effectively manage time and resources to meet multiple deadlines
    • Professional and mature with excellent English Language skills, both orally and in writing
    • Consistent demonstration of AgeCare’s Values
