About this position:

What you’ll do:

Reporting to the Recreation Manager or Executive Director, delivers an array of planned and spontaneous social, recreational and therapeutic programs
Facilitates group activities for residents with differing abilities, interests, needs and preferences
Participates in quality improvement initiatives and in-service education workshops to keep abreast of current trends in care and programming for seniors
Respects and promotes dignity and individuality by recognizing each resident as a whole individual with unique cultural, spiritual and psychosocial needs

What you’ll need:

Certificate or Diploma from a recognized Recreation program or equivalent education and experience with seniors
Experience working with seniors with moderate to severe dementia
Physical and mental capacity to carry out the duties of the position
Class 4 driver’s license an asset
Current First Aid and Food Safe – Level I certificates required
