About this position:

What you’ll do:

  • Reporting to the Recreation Manager or Executive Director, delivers an array of planned and spontaneous social, recreational and therapeutic programs
  • Facilitates group activities for residents with differing abilities, interests, needs and preferences
  • Participates in quality improvement initiatives and in-service education workshops to keep abreast of current trends in care and programming for seniors
  • Respects and promotes dignity and individuality by recognizing each resident as a whole individual with unique cultural, spiritual and psychosocial needs

What you’ll need:

  • Certificate or Diploma from a recognized Recreation program or equivalent education and experience with seniors
  • Experience working with seniors with moderate to severe dementia
  • Physical and mental capacity to carry out the duties of the position
  • Class 4 driver’s license an asset
  • Current First Aid and Food Safe – Level I certificates required
