Registered Nurse RN / RPN Hospice Program part time Evenings (0.50 FTE) | AgeCare SkyPointe NE Calgary, AB

Our Hospice program is focused on compassionate, resident-centred care. We work in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team that is focused on supporting our residents and their families through the end of life journey. Our Hospice community offers a home-like atmosphere with diverse resources available to support the resident and their family and provide the best quality of life experience.

The RN is responsible to the Resident Care Manager collaborating on the delivery of resident care to meet individual needs within his/her level of competency.  He/She integrates and applies the knowledge, skills, judgment, and interpersonal attributes required to provide safe and ethical professional nursing services to residents.

About this part time evening position:

What you’ll do:

  • Work to your full scope of practice
  • Ensure all care needs are coordinated
  • Become a part of a resident / family-centered environment
  • Join an interdisciplinary team involved in best practice programs
  • Make a difference every day by enriching the quality of life for the residents and supporting their families through this end of life journey

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing & membership in good standing with CARNA/ CRPNA
  • Minimum two years of experience in a continuing care/gerontology/palliative environment preferred
  • MDS RAI training; Certified in CPR and First Aid
  • Working knowledge of MS Office programs
  • Demonstrated excellence in management, leadership, clinical judgment and interpersonal skills
