The Opportunity

The Support Services Manager leads the Hospitality team in food, housekeeping, and resident laundry and janitorial services and will on occasion be required to perform cooking functions.

In addition to the duties described aboce, this position all plays a key role in ensuring continuity of service for all BC sites during essential services, outbreaks or staff shortage situations.

About this Support Services Manager position:

What you’ll do:

  • Responsible for the full operation of food services, housekeeping and resident laundry and janitorial services
  • Promotes Food and Housekeeping Services and any other revenue generating activities to Independent suite when applicable
  • Organizes/ delegates all Human Resources functions, including recruiting, training, coaching, scheduling, payroll, and employee performance management in collaboration with AgeCare HR Partner
  • Observes and corrects any unsafe activities that may cause harm or inury to a resident

What you’ll need:

  • Secondary Education preferably in related Industry or business setting
  • CSNM - Canadian Sociaety of Nutritional Management completion or having the number
  • Advanced Food Safety Certification
  • Solid Understanding of basic bookkeeping and/ or budget- responsibility
