Fruits of Summer

We are full swing into summer time. A reminder that the weather is changing! Calgary is not always known for steady weather conditions, but with summer here, Recreation will host more programs outdoors with weather permitting. Please be sure to provide your loved ones with sunscreen, hats, sunglasses, coats, etc. as we do not provide any ourselves. We want everyone to be able to get out and enjoy the wonderful outdoors!

To celebrate summer, we will be focusing programs around fresh fruits and vegetables! Lots of fresh baking, salad making, and summer activities to enjoy with everyone.

 

We have two special courtyard courtyard meals.

1. August 15—Pizza Party Lunch
2. August 29—KFC Supper

Grace and Isabel, RTA’s are going on our two favourite summer outing locations.

• William Watson Lodge in Kananaskis Country
• Ghost Lake Boat Tour.

Both outings are wheel chair friendly but residents must be able to transfer with a 1 person assist. Seating is limited! Sign up today.

 

 

Residents Association

Meetings will commence on September 18th at 10:15 – 11:15 in the boardroom.  This committee is comprised of AgeCare management, residents and family members. Meetings are held monthly on the third Tuesday. Run by residents or family, the purpose of the committee is to receive and share information relevant to residents living at  AgeCare Midnapore. The meeting provides residents the opportunity to participate in decision-making with regard to programs and services. It is    intended to improve the quality of life by opening the lines of communication between residents and management. Although we have existing residents and family members that represent our neighbourhoods on the committee, other residents / family can attend the meetings on a drop in basis.

Change in Recreation

Jenny has left on Maternity Leave and we will be replacing her mid August. (J) will remain until we find her replacement. We will see Jenny again in recreation next Summer 2019!
