“JANUARY, The first month of the year,
A perfect time to start all over again,
Changing energies and deserting old moods,
New beginnings, new attitudes.”

New Year, New You, Starts with an Eye Exam
Book Your Eye Exam Today! Limited Space Available.
Monday, January 21st 9:00am-3:00pm
Optometrist, Dr. Allan Jones and his team will be coming to you! If you are interested in his service, please inform recreation with a brief description of why you are wanting to be seen or what you want to have done (e.g. eye exam, new glasses, check up, etc.). This allows us to arrange our time better for a better flow. We will be bringing glasses on site to try on.
Additionally if you can arrange for the caregiver (person in charge of decisions and finances) to be present or at the very least available via phone for easy communication. This allows for us to make sure all information is accurately and efficiently delegated to the necessary parties and allows for purchases of new glasses or equipment if required.
Safety Alert
Be aware of winter conditions in our parking lot and property.
Orange fences have been placed on our property to encourage staff and visitors to use the sidewalks.
Sidewalks are cleared and salted during winter once within 24 hours of snowfall.
People have been injured in previous years when walking cross non paved areas.
Please use caution when walking on sidewalks and do not use short cuts.
A Message from the Rehabilitation Department
As we ring in the new year, we would like to remind residents and family that the rehabilitation department is here to help maintain physical functioning and help people stay active with transfers.
There will be continual evaluation of therapeutic benefit and interest as many residents will be graduating or discharged from rehabilitation therapy programs and moving into quality of life programs with recreation. In addition, there is an extensive waitlist for the wheelchair program through AADL and for repairs. We appreciate your time and patience as we make changes to our department to suit the resident needs. Rehabilitations resources are limited
