PREPARATION FOR FLU SEASON

Flu season is just around the corner and we all want to

prepare for it. How can you help?

Get vaccinated- available from September-November. Nursing department is contacting residents/families /agents to get consent for the flu vaccine.

Wash your hands

Follow respiratory etiquette

Drink water and get plenty of rest if you are sick

If you need information and want to know more about influenza, please contact Anna Andres, Clinical Resource Nurse

 

REMEMBRANCE DAY CEREMONY

We are honored to welcome Legion 285 in our home on Thursday November 7th at 2:30pm in the Atrium for the     Remembrance Day Ceremony.

Residents, Families and Friends are welcome to join.

Veterans and spouses of Veterans please let Recreation know if you will be attending.

Our annual Holiday Market it back on

November 27th from

10:00-3:00 in the Atrium

Get your Christmas shopping done with local vendors! Or pick up a sweet treat from one of our many vendors selling baked goods.

Other vendors include: Scentsy, Sweet Legs, Jewelry, Clothing, Books

 

FAMILY & RESIDENT MEETING

Our Bi-Annual Family Meeting will be taking place Monday November 18 2019 at 6pm-7pm in the classroom.

The purpose of the annual meeting is to discuss facility operations and programming.  No personal care issues will be discussed in this forum due to confidentiality

 

CCHSS Audit Results

On Oct 23 and 24 AgeCare Midnapore had a CCHSS Audit. Alberta Health Services (AHS) is committed to the provision of quality care and is required to determine the compliance of all Continuing Care service providers to the Alberta Health, Continuing Care Health Service Standards (CCHSS).

We just wanted to provide you a high level review of the  audit.

First comment commended the staff… who are knowledgeable, friendly and engaged.  We have strong process in place to meet the standards. Thank you for your hard work each and every day to ensure we provide the best quality of life for our residents. Results will be shared at Family Meeting.
