Welcome to autumn and all the changes that come with it; bright colours on the trees, cooler temperatures, changes in décor and holiday celebrations. October is the month for pumpkins, turkey dinners and goblins. We have a little bit of everything to fill up October days. We are continuing our scenic drives. This month we will be taking residents to Queen Elizabeth Park, Buntzen Lake, Stanley Park and a special Halloween scenic drive. On October 8th, we will be going to Aldor Acres Pumpkin Patch for a tour and picnic lunch.
Our theme week for this month will be for Halloween October 26-31. There will be a Halloween craft, baking, and a multi-sensory Halloween display (nicer version of a haunted house). On the day of Halloween, St Alban’s Day Care children will be visiting us in the morning to show off their costumes, and the staff will come around to show off their costumes in the afternoon right before our Halloween party with Thomas MacKay. All are welcome to join!
Fraser Health’s Residential Care Week started September 22nd. Families are invited to participate in our project. Please write a residential care reflection on a cut out hand. Pick up and drop off at recreation office. Types of things you could include are:
We want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. Hope you all have a wonderful month.
