We believe that in order for us to be able to provide your loved one with a consistently high level of safe, quality and compassionate care and hospitality services that is it important for us to seek your feedback to help identify areas that you feel we are doing well in or areas that you feel we can improve on.
To assist us in our commitment to provide your loved one with the best quality of life experience while they are a resident at one of our AgeCare communities, we are requesting a few minutes of your time to complete the attached Family Experience Survey. Your feedback is important to us and in addition to being shared with each community, it will be used to help shape some of our future planning activities in order to improve or enhance our services within our communities. Your specific community’s results will be made available in a printed form and also be added to our web site in September of this year.
To help in the collection and review of the feedback to the Family Experience Surveys, we would request your support in completing and returning the survey by July 30, 2015. The completed survey can be returned to the front desk/reception at your loved one’s community, or by mailing it in the self-addressed stamped envelope provided. If you prefer, the survey can also be completed ONLINE by visiting www.agecare.ca/survey, where you can complete the survey up to July 30, 2015. Please note that we are only able to accept one completed survey per family.
We want to thank you in advance for taking the time to provide us with your feedback which we believe to be invaluable in supporting our Vision to becoming the premier Communities of Care and Wellness.

Summer has officially arrived, though we have had the beautiful weather since May! These days of sunshine are great to have but we need to be safe and remind ourselves of what too much heat and sun can do. Here are some tips to ensure you’re own and your family members’ safety during these dog days of summer:
-Keep windows and drapes/ curtains closed to keep the cool air in and the hot air out
-Keep lights off or low to reduce the amount of heat produced inside
-Have fans facing upwards to circulate the air
-Wear the proper sun protection; including light clothing that covers shoulders, hats, and sunglasses
-Wear a minimum of 40 SPF sunscreen and be sure to reapply every 2 hours
-Stay where it is shady under the trees
– Be sure to drink plenty of water to stay hydrated
Staying cool and having fun will be the motto for the month of July! Harmony Court Care Centre will be hosting its Canada Day Event on Monday July 6th in the Centre Courtyard with Entertainment by Music Variations. Please let the nurse’s station or recreation department know if you would like to join as seating is limited.
The residents have the opportunity to stay cool in the air conditioned bus as it tours Belcarra Park, Rocky Point, Buntzen Lake and Stanley Park. At the end of they will have the opportunity to do a larger bus trip down to the Vancouver Aquarium. If you wish for your family to be on the list please contact the Recreation Manager at 604-527-3328.
There will be plenty of ways to stay cool and refreshed at Harmony Court this summer, we hope you can do the same.
