Survey From the General Manager

2015 Worklife Pulse & Patient Safety Culture Survey Results

Annually, AgeCare staff share their options using the Worklife and Patient Safety Culture surveys as a part of our Accreditation process and continuous quality improvement.  Over 70% of our staff took the time to provide this valuable feedback.

AgeCare staff feels that they:

  • Understand their job expectations.
  • Would recommend AgeCare as a place to work.
  • Think about ways to prevent safety incidents.
  • Work in a climate that promotes resident safety.

AgeCare staff feel we can improve by:

  •  Ensuring we recognize the good work our staff are doing.
  •  Acting on staff feedback and letting them know what has been done.
  •  Continuing to develop a culture of safety including a fair and consistent approach for evaluating what occurred when things go wrong and responding to the individuals involved.

Using the Results

  • The Leadership Team will be reviewing and reflecting on this information to identify strategies to help us improve.
  • Staff will have the opportunity to help provide a deeper understanding of the results through discussions at the sites and to inform priorities for action in their area of care.
