Hello Residents and Family Members!
May was a wonderful month at SkyPointe! We celebrated all our mothers on Mother’s Day with a tea and concert with Aven Grace, had a few furry visitors from Tails to Tell rescue for a Cat Cafe, and residents, staff and family members had the opportunity to view all the different art pieces that have been created over the year at the Expressive Art Show.
Summer has finally arrived! Recreation programs and activities will shift towards a seasonal focus! Summer sport and craft activities, and more time spent in the sun rooms and patios sipping iced tea and reminiscing about the Good Ole Summer Days. With the turn in seasons, just a friendly reminder to practice Safe Sun’ing’! Wear sunscreen when going outside, limit your sun time. drink plenty of fluids and cover up; hats, sunglasses, jackets, etc.
June is an important month for SkyPointe! Residents and staff are celebrating its first anniversary; Happy Birthday SkyPointe! On June 4th, residents and staff will all come together in the afternoon for a special party! Everyone is welcome to attend. Some of the other events and programs you can look forward to are the Take Me Out To the Ball Game Father’s Day Social, Happy Hour with Dwayne Fettig, Seated Soccer during SkyPointe’s Sports League and closer to the end of the month, we start our Stampede preparations, starting our celebrations with the 2019 Stampede Presentation.
The resident and family experience survey is now open! The AgeCare team appreciates you taking the time to complete the survey. The resident and family food council and resident and family councils will be taking a short break after their June meetings for the summer months and will resume in September.
Please, take a look at our June newsletter (below) and program calendars for upcoming programs and events. If you have any questions or concerns, please, contact (587)619-6317! Or stop by the recreation office. Our general office hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Saturday.
Yours sincerely,
