Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving is October 9th. Over time, family and friends have added their own meanings Thanksgiving:

  • To gather in unity – It is refreshing and invigorating when people come together, in celebration of a common purpose. It is a reconciliation of differences as well as a time of healing. In sharing our victories as well as our struggles, we find strength and hope.
  • To prepare the heart – In gratitude, we humbly reflect upon all the gifts (family, friends, health) that saturate our lives.
  • What does Thanksgiving mean to you ?

The kitchen will be serving Thanksgiving Turkey Dinner on Sunday October 9th.

We are collecting non perishable food items for the Calgary Food Bank until October 7th. There are boxes outside of the main reception as well as the Somerset entrance. At this time, the Food Bank’s most wanted items are: Canned Soup,Fruit Juice, Macaroni & Cheese, Canned Veggies, Canned Tomatoes, Canned Fruit, Pasta, Rice, Pasta Sauce, Peanut Butter, Canned Fish, Baby Food & Formula and Diapers.
