Visionary approach to seniors care allows for family members to stay together.
Strathmore – Seniors and their families now have more housing options with the completion of Phase 2 of Sagewood Seniors Community.
Phase 2 of the community features 35 secured supportive living units that can accommodate seniors with moderate to severe dementia, 35 supportive living units, and 35 long-term care beds in a caring, warm, inclusive, and supportive environment. Inter-generational programming is also incorporated in this phase through the child day care and the adult day support program.
Premier Alison Redford says Sagewood allows seniors to live with dignity and comfort in familiar surroundings.
“Our government is committed to making sure we give seniors the best possible care. I’m glad that seniors and couples with different care needs are going to be able to live and age together in the same community,” said Premier Redford.
