Message from the General Manager:
We all hope that you had a great holiday season with friends and family. Reflecting back on what we have accomplished together during the previous 12 months, there is so much to be proud of, not the least of which is the ongoing dedication, commitment and compassion of AgeCare Sagewood staff, volunteers and our many partners in supporting our residents and their families on a daily basis.
Like most years, we expect at the beginning of 2018 the year would be busy, exciting, and challenging as we worked to meet the needs and expectations of our many stakeholders –residents, families, staff, volunteers, communities and Alberta Health Services. We started 2017 by received gold award from the Newsy Neighbour for Best in Senior Services; we are being nominated again this year and hope to have your support again. Intergenerational programs for our residents will be one of the key focuses for 2018; we will continue to partner with schools in Strathmore and Kids U to promote intergenerational programs in our community. Our residents enjoyed many bus outings last year; we continue to have even more bus outing for our residents in the New Year to keep them connected to the surrounding communities. Lastly, we have successfully completed the conversion of 20 Supportive Living beds to Long Term Care beds enable us to better meet the aging-in-place needs of the community and will further our mission to provide the best quality of life experience for our residents with your support.
There is little doubt that 2018 will prove to be equally busy; however, through the collective efforts of AgeCare Sagewood’s staff, volunteers and community partners we will fulfill our mission to provide the best quality of life experience for our residents with the support of families.
