Dear residents and family members,
Spring has finally Sprung at SkyPointe! There will be fresh and new programs and activities to celebrate the Easter holiday! Easter egg colouring and decorating, a bunny hop social, and to celebrate national scrabble day on the 13th, residents can challenge themselves at a game of scrabbled eggs.
Thank you to everyone who had participated in the Purdy’s Chocolate fundraiser. We continue to move towards our fundraising goal; a grand piano for the atrium.
SkyPointe will host Elections Alberta on April 16th in the Atrium. Residents eligible to vote can vote anytime between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm. There will be no recreation programming on Good Friday, April 19th. The SkyPointe Sports League will continue on Thursday’s and our athletes will be venturing into chair hockey! Just in time for the play off season; Go Flames Go! On April 30th, we will be celebrating the lives of our passed residents and dear friends at our memorial service.
The recreation department now has sign-up sheets for residents and family members to use. These will be available online and on our new recreation board outside of the recreation office. Residents will be guaranteed at least one sign up event or program each month.
We look forward to warmer days as we begin to plan our green spaces and start to plan our summer programs and activities.
Please, take a look at our April newsletter and program calendars for upcoming programs and events. If you have any questions or concerns, please, contact (587)619-6317! Or stop by the recreation office. Our general office hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Saturday.
Your sincerely,
Marlee Dukart, Recreation Therapy Manager

Each month, there will be a different code posted. This reviews the different safety standards and techniques used at SkyPointe.
Code white is a designated phrase to alert personnel to an incident of violence or aggression against a resident, client, visitor, staff member of physician that has escalated beyond the ability to preserve everybody’s safety.
