Dear residents and family members,
February is here! Full of fun and exciting things that is coming from the recreation department!
Who knew the shortest month would have so many fun holidays to celebrate!
On each neighborhood recreation program and activity calendar there are different programs and events that celebrate all these fun holidays!
Recreation and Leisure is an important part of everyone’s lives! This month on each calendar, there is a week dedicated to celebrating the five domains of recreation therapy. Each program/activity/event that is scheduled has a purpose and focuses on strengthening, maintaining or educating about these domains! For more information, please take a look at AgeCare SkyPointe’s online newsletter.
With a growing popularity in facility programs and activities, recreation staff have had to put a limit on space availability. This will require residents to sign-up for certain programs. We want to ensure every resident has the opportunity to participate! All programs that require sign-up will be BOLDED on the calendars. Residents are guaranteed at least one sign-up event.
Each month SkyPointe will be sharing a 1-minute learning opportunity about safety awareness for all residents and family members. Residents and family members can find this on the back of their program calendars or on the online newsletter.
Please, take a look at our February newsletter and program calendars for upcoming programs and events. If you have any questions or concerns, please, contact (587)619-6317! Or stop by the recreation office. Our general office hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Saturday.
Your sincerely,
Marlee Dukart, Recreation Therapy Manager
