Recreation Newsletter & Program Calendars

March 2019

Dear residents and family members,

Everyone at SkyPointe are crossing their fingers that spring is around the corner… In like a lion out like a lamb? Or will the Luck of the Irish be on our side?

March is full of fun and interesting recreation programs and activities. Two of our recreation therapy students will be working on their special projects throughout the facility, residents can sign up for one of three of our in-house meals, and everyone is welcome to be Irish for the day on the 17th; The MJP Dance Academy Irish Dancers will be celebrating with us in the morning! The Pegasus Theater has been popular over the last couple of months and to ensure everyone as the optimal viewing experience, each floor will have designated times to watch a movie in the theater.

The recreation department continues their fundraising efforts to purchase a beautiful piano for the atrium. With a huge success of the last Purdy’s Chocolate Fundraiser, we will be doing another one just in time for Easter. Who says the Easter Bunny is the only one that gets to deliver chocolate? If you would like to support this fundraiser, you can see reception for order forms or order online by visiting the following link:

Each month SkyPointe will be sharing a 1-minute learning opportunity about safety awareness for all residents and family members. Residents and family members can find this on the back of their program calendars or on view on the online newsletter.

Please, take a look at our March newsletter and program calendars for upcoming programs and events.  If you have any questions or concerns, please, contact (587)619-6317! Or stop by the recreation office. Our general office hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Saturday.

Yours sincerely,

Marlee Dukart, Recreation Therapy Manager
