AgeCare Shawnee is a beautiful, new state-of-the-art continuing care community and a striking addition to the Shawnee Slopes residential neighbourhood of southwest Calgary, Alberta.
AgeCare Shawnee is much more than a beautiful newly-constructed building; it is a 6-floor, 313-bed purpose-built space designed with our residents’ comfort and quality of life in mind. AgeCare Shawnee features continuing care services for 313 long-term care residents.
At AgeCare, we know how important it is to create meaningful relationships and experiences for residents. We provide high-quality, person-centred care where our residents are recognized, valued and celebrated.

Continuing Care Home Type A
A home-like setting for individuals with complex, unpredictable medical needs who are unable to remain at home or in a Continuing Care Home Type B setting. A Registered Nurse Care Leader oversees all elements of resident care. They lead an interdisciplinary team that include Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Heath Care Aides (HCAs), Occupational Therapists (OTs), Physiotherapists (PTs), Recreational Therapists (RTs), and Social Workers.

AgeCare Shawnee is a state-of-the-art facilities designed to offer a safe, comfortable home for people in need of long-term care.
All of our spaces at AgeCare Shawnee were designed for the safety and enjoyment of the residents.
AgeCare Shawnee was designed with attention to detail, emphasizing safety and functionality for our residents, including wide hallways, handrails, private barrier-free suites with ensuites, and an emergency call system.
Residents and their families will benefit from supportive and engaging environments, including recreational and multi-purpose activity spaces, an outdoor courtyard, a children’s daycare, as well as adult day programs.
AgeCare Shawnee consists of 11 care neighbourhoods, providing a cozy, home-like environment. Each neighbourhood has dedicated common spaces, including a dining room, quiet cozy lounges, outdoor courtyards/balcony, and TV/activity lounges.
