Services
Affordable Housing (Apartments)
Affordable housing for active, independent seniors. These units are subsidized by the Alberta government for low/modest income seniors who qualify. Our affordable housing apartments are located next to AgeCare seniors care communities so people can stay in the same area if their needs change. This allows couples with different care needs to be close to each other.
Senior Housing (Apartments & Villas)
Housing for active, independent seniors, located next to AgeCare seniors care communities so people can stay in the same area if their needs change. This allows couples with different care needs to be close to each other.
Supportive Living
(SL3 or SL4): A home-like setting for individuals who are unable to thrive in their own home. They require personal supports such as meals, housekeeping, laundry, recreation and social activities. An Alberta Health Services (AHS) Case Manager oversees all resident care and care plans. Supportive Livingis appropriate for people whose health care needs are predictable and can be scheduled. In SL3 Health Care Aides (HCAs) are on-site 24 hours a day to provide support, scheduled personal care, and medication assistance. The HCAs report to a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or a Registered Nurse (RN), who are on-site periodically, but not all the time. In SL4 a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)and Health Care Aides(HCAs)are on-site 24 hours a day to provide support, scheduled personal care, and manage medications.
Long-Term Care
A home-like setting for individuals with complex, unpredictable medical needs who are unable to remain at home or in a Supportive Living setting. A Registered Nurse Care Leader oversees all elements of resident care. They lead an interdisciplinary team that include Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Heath Care Aides (HCAs), Occupational Therapists (OTs), Physio Therapists (PTs), Recreational Therapists (RTs), and Social Workers.
Dementia & Memory Care
Supportive Living Level 4 Dementia (SL4D) and Long-Term Care both offera safe, secure, home-like setting for individuals with varying levels of dementia and memory difficulties (including Alzheimer’s).
Children's Day Care
On-site day care for children, which encourages multigenerational programming and allows our employees to be close to their children while at work.

A modern apartment designed for active adults 55+ with spacious 1 bedroom, 1 bedroom + den or 2 bedroom suites, in the quiet, friendly neighbourhood of Walden. This building is close to transit, tranquil parks, and green spaces, and backs onto an amenity-rich shopping complex.
Walden Heights Place
Welcome to Walden Heights Place, a modern apartment with spacious 1 bedroom + den, 2 bedroom, or 2 bedroom + den suites located in the energetic community of Walden. This building is close to transit, parks and bike paths, walking distance to restaurants and shopping, and minutes from Deerfoot Trail.

The community
A new standard for seniors care in Calgary
This is not your typical community. Masterfully designed AgeCare Walden Heights is a modern, amenity-rich community covering 7 acres of land, including 1.6 acres of tranquil parks and open spaces. Our vision for AgeCare Walden Heights is to create a vibrant, multi-generational community where seniors are the focus.
Designed with our residents in mind
Each floor in AgeCare Walden Heights has approximately 40 private resident rooms. The wings on each floor extend from a central space that has a dining room with a servery, a TV lounge, a quiet lounge and outside balcony. At the end of the wing, there is a quiet lounge with a large exterior window allowing for plenty of natural light. Each floor has a spa room for residents who prefer (or require) a nice soak in a specialized spa tub, designed for this resident population. Carpeting throughout to ensure the community has that homey feeling our residents really love.
Amenities
The ground floor has many common amenities. Centrally located are a Hair Salon, Private Family Dining Room, and a large recreation area. The open floor plan is nicely separated by an aquarium-encased wall. A large section of this floor faces the outdoor courtyard allowing natural light in and an opportunity for residents to admire the view.
The design of all of these spaces has been carefully thought through from a resident enjoyment perspective, as well as functionality.
Activities to promote health & wellness
The need to stay active, intellectually stimulated and socially connected never ends. Our recreation team works hard to design engaging activities and programs to ensure our residents experience the best quality of life possible.
Programming at AgeCare Walden Heights is designed to enrich the mind, body, and spirit. Residents are free to choose their own level of activity – from calm and relaxing to active and energetic.

Programming is tailored to our residents’ needs and capabilities. Through these programs, residents continue to pursue interests, develop new skills, enhance their self-esteem and build rewarding relationships with other residents, staff, and volunteers. For our memory care and dementia care residents, we provide specialized programs and activities, some of which are designed to help them rediscover old skills.
