Deborah DiMauro brings over 25 years’ experience and a great passion for improving the lives of older adults to her role as AgeCare’s Vice President, Ontario Operations.

Deb leads the operations of AgeCare’s 23 long-term care and retirement communities, both owned and managed, that transitioned from Chartwell in September 2023.

Driven to provide quality care, excellent services and meaningful experiences to long-term care and retirement living residents, Deb focuses on maximizing resources to provide the best care possible for residents and by engaging families in the care process.

Her career covers a range of roles in senior living, from social worker in supportive housing, Programs and Services Director in long-term care, and mobility support in a rehabilitation facility. Over the past 10 years at Chartwell LTC, Deb advanced from Program Consultant to Home Administrator to Director, Regional Operations and, most recently, Vice President of LTC Operations.

She is a trailblazer, driven to change how person-centred care is provided.

Deb’s passion is the IMAGINE by AgeCare program, a unique whole-home customer-service approach to dementia care that focuses on building the leadership capacity of care staff and managers by enabling, empowering and engaging them to assess and address residents, their families and loved ones, in new, meaningful ways.

Deb comes from a family devoted to long-term care. Her husband works in the senior living sector and their two children also worked in LTC as they completed their Post Secondary studies. Deb enjoys spending time with family and friends and likes to spend time outdoors at the cottage or at sunny vacation destinations.
