Commemorating Remembrance Day

11 October 2021

Remembrance Day Message from Dr. Hasmukh Patel, AgeCare CEO & President

Remembrance Day is a day for all Canadians to pause, give thanks, and remember the men and women who served and sacrificed for our country.

The Remembrance Day Ceremony has played a major role in Remembrance since 1931. While the ceremonies may look different this year due to the pandemic, each AgeCare community is ensuring that Remembrance Day is commemorated.

I wish to encourage you all to observe a moment of silence on November 11, to mark the sacrifice of the many who have fallen and acknowledge the bravery of those who still serve.

To our residents who have served, we will be forever grateful for your courage and devotion to our country.

The Act of Remembrance

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;

Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning

We will remember them.

~ from For the Fallen by Laurence Binyon

Sincerely,

Dr. Hasmukh Patel
AgeCare CEO & President
