AgeCare Assisting AHS with Management of Millrise Seniors Village

5 May 2020

We want to share with our residents, families, and staff a recent endeavour that AgeCare has been requested to take on. Recently, Alberta Health Services (AHS) requested the assistance of AgeCare to step in and provided assistance and management oversight to the Millrise Seniors Village in Calgary, Alberta. AgeCare responded to this request and late last night this arrangement was formalized and made public.

AHS News Release: AHS retains AgeCare to assist with operating Millrise Seniors Village

This was an unexpected request, and AgeCare has responded in the spirit of assisting AHS and Millrise Seniors Village in a very critical time. The decision mirrors our values as an organization and when asked to support, it is what we do. We are honoured to be asked and happy to do so.

We want to reassure all AgeCare residents, families, and our staff of our continued commitment to maintaining our current high level of care, service, and leadership. AgeCare has brought in additional resources to assist with the management of the Millrise Seniors Village.

Thank you all for your support as we do all that we can to care for individuals who are most at risk and prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

Sincerely,

Dr. Hasmukh Patel
AgeCare CEO & President
