Welcome to AgeCare Glenmore

AgeCare Glenmore is located in the desirable south Calgary neighbourhood of Pump Hill. Renovated several times throughout its long history, it features 214 private and semi-private beds in a vibrant seniors’ community with all the comforts of home.

Special programming for residents with dementia

AgeCare Glenmore is proud to offer memory care to those suffering from advancing forms of dementia such as Alzheimer’s Disease through the provision of a safe environment and specialized programming.

At AgeCare Glenmore, we welcome the opportunity to offer personal visits or information requests as part of your decision-making process. All publicly funded continuing care service admissions, including Continuing Care Type A, are made by referrals from Alberta Health Services

Services

Continuing Care Home Type A

A home-like setting for individuals with complex, unpredictable medical needs who are unable to remain at home or in a Continuing Care Home Type B setting. A Registered Nurse Care Leader oversees all elements of resident care. They lead an interdisciplinary team that include Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Heath Care Aides (HCAs), Occupational Therapists (OTs), Physiotherapists (PTs), Recreational Therapists (RTs), and Social Workers.

Dementia & Memory Care

A safe, secure, home-like setting for individuals with varying levels of dementia and memory difficulties (including Alzheimer’s).

Respite & Temporary Stays

Temporary, overnight stays in private and semi-private rooms for individuals who normally live at home. There could be a variety of reasons for their stay, ranging from post-operative recovery to giving caregivers a break.

Adult Day Program
Day programs for seniors who live at home, and who benefit from social and health-related programs. It also allows their caregivers to attend to other things.

The community

The community features a dramatic, sky-lit atrium bursting with sunlight, a pine-paneled fireplace lounge, interior balconies and barrier-free garden courtyards that create a scale and elegance that feels like a fine country inn rather than a health care facility. As a Continuing Care Type A community, it was specifically designed to include wide hallways, handrails, barrier-free suites, accessible ensuite bathrooms, and an emergency call system.
